vertigo4life is the design of a community site that is currently being built by Second Foundation. I plan to provide everything without subscriptions or ads so the site is completely free. The design is to be built using XHTML and CSS also using the Ruby On Rails platform. The name vertigo4life is just a placeholder until the final name is decided upon. BETA testing starting soon.

Second Foundation has now been upgraded to version 3.0.1.
This update gives increased loading speed, some thumbnail fixes,
the contact form now fully working. Expect more updates to come soon.

The next version of Second Foundation 3.0.1 is already is development. Our aim is to slowly through many updates increase the functionality and provide new features, with the final outcome of the site being fully migrated to ruby on rails with the launch of vertigo4life.

Our design based social networking site is still in development the deign has nearly been finalized and coding of certain areas has already begun. We hope to have a BETA version out of the main areas by the end of the year with a user limit of 100, which we will increase as bugs are fixed and new features added.

As well as our all new design we have also decided to create a successor to our extremely popular wallpaper pack, so if you head down to the downloads section you will be able to get our new high quality multi-resolution wallpaper pack, as well as our original pack.
Since Second Foundations conception in 2005 by designer Tom Wazynski, it has proudly offered a large variety of services many of which are provided free of charge.
In 2005, I (Tom Wazynski) created Foundation Designs as portfolio for my designs, as the site developed I choose to offer just a few services and no cost. Whilst the amount of services offered where limited it proved very successful and lead to me taking Foundation Designs to Version 2.
2006 marked the creation of Second Foundation; the company was renamed to mark a new era under our fresh ethos of intelligent.evolving.design, this time we presented a much larger variety of services but still all free of charge. However we took a step back in the design of the site to provide a great accessibility than before, and this lead to an increased take up of our services.
Yet in 2007 version three has been launched. With today’s technology we are now able to offer excellent designs, previously only possible on FLASH, but with the accessibility of XHTML. With version three, we have used the cutting edge of web technology all built on the Ruby on Rails platform to create a beautiful design and extremely accessibly interface all by following our vision of intelligent.evolving.design.
The vision of Second Foundation is provided by our belief in intelligent.evolving.design. Each design we do must be intelligent, by that we mean that it fulfils its purpose completely in an appropriate way. By using the newest technology, we aim to allow design to subtlety change over time to keep up with fashions and stay fresh, as well as developing as a company keeping up with changes in the industry allowing us to provide the greatest possible service, this is the evolving design. And all of this is provided free.
By following this ethos in our approach to design we are able to provide extremely high quality at both the user interaction level, as well as the coding and technological levels. It is very important that a lot of time, thought and effort goes into these aspects of a design to allow for all the details to come together, because it’s the little details that users will notice. And therefore by focusing on these aspects we can create highly professional designs that give the user exactly what they want to see and do.

Photographs can invoke feelings and emotions that computer created media cannot, therefore here at Second Foundation we have an enormous passion for photography, especially great photography. That’s why we have an in-house photographer to guarantee great photography for our designs.
